What is Vertical farming

Vertical farming is the ability to grow a variety of fresh produce in an indoor, controlled climate using technology to help make sure you get the best results possible. The purpose of the vertical farm is to continuously grow produce year-round, without the harshness of outdoor farming conditions.

Within a vertical farm, you control the climate as well as the types of light rays used for growth, how much water each plant receives, and the usage of vitamins and/or minerals that aid in each plant growing to its fullest potential.

One of the top reasons for a vertical farm is to offer the community a great choice of healthy, pesticide-free produce. In this type of environment, you won’t have to worry about the rigorous conditions that farmers face now such as intense summers, lack of rainfall, pollution, and the seasons that don’t allow for the growth of certain plants.

Vertical farming also allows you to offer an excellent assortment of produce; not just to those that inhabit the compound, but, to the surrounding communities. It provides them the opportunity to buy fresh produce at all times of the year all while eliminating the use of preservatives.
